Rooms are decorated individually, but all have custom fabrics in warm tones, elegant window treatments, and soft lighting. A glass cabinet in the Fairmount’s lobby holds artifacts found during the excavation of the hotel’s present site, now designated as a Texas Archaeological Landmark. Among the artifacts are 19th-century military objects used in the Battle of the Alamo and an unusual assortment of British china.
